Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect at my first visit?
On your first visit, you can expect to go through a physical examination, to talk to the surgeon about your medical history, and to possibly perform the procedures that the surgeon thinks are necessary.
What documents do I need to carry when I come for the first appointment?
When you come for your first appointment you should bring along your valid health card, a referral from your primary care physician, all the medical records pertaining to your condition such as X-ray reports, CT, MRI scan reports, laboratory test results, a list of current medications taken, and, if relevant, the report of any previous surgical procedures.
Do you remove moles, warts or skin tags?
Yes, we provide treatments that involve minor surgery.
Is laser hair removal painful?
People have compared it to a rubber band snapping against the skin or a slight pinching feeling. Compared to waxing the treatment has very little discomfort. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different.
What machine do you use for laser hair removal?
We use the Candela Gentlemax Pro.
Is my skin tone suitable for hair removal?
Absolutely – most people are suitable for Laser Hair Removal Treatments. Laser light is attracted to dark hair follicles and therefore the darker the hair follicle, the more likely it is to permanently remove your unwanted hair. It even works safely and effectively for dark skinned individuals. The only exception is for those with blonde, red or white hair whereby Laser Hair Removal Treatments will not work at all.
How do I prepare for laser hair removal?
If you have been bleaching your hair, you will need to allow the normal colour to regrow before proceeding with laser. If you have been waxing your hair, you will need to wait at least 3-4 weeks before receiving a laser treatment. Otherwise there is no preparation required, other than shaving the area the night before, and avoid using deodorants and other skin products on the area on the day of your treatment.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Laser hair removal is permanent hair reduction. The hair follicles that are treated, are destroyed. The remaining hair is thin and fine. Changes in health, medications or hormone levels can cause new growth in the future.
How many treatments do I need for laser hair removal?
We recommend a minimum of 6 sessions.
How often do I need to book my appointments?
You should be booking your appointments every 4-6 weeks.
How much does tattoo removal cost?
Our prices start at $75 per session and they will increase based on size and colour.
How long will it take to remove my tattoo?
It depends on how long you’ve had the tattoo, and how well your body removes the ink particles once they are broken up. But we typically recommend anywhere from 6-10 sessions.
Does tattoo removal hurt?
It’s a common belief that tattoo removal is excruciating, yet most patients say that the sensation of removal is comparable to having a tattoo applied. Common descriptions include the sensation of a rubber band snapping against the skin or bacon grease – basically it’s uncomfortable but bearable. The vast majority of tattoo removal providers offer some form of soothing to the skin during the treatment.
Which facial is best for me?
The best way to decide which facial is best suited to your needs, it to come in for a consultation. You will discuss your concerns with the esthetician and from there we can tailor a skin care plan to help you see the results you desire.

Our formulations are proprietary, fragrance-free, paraben-free, not tested on animals, and made in Canada. Proven to reduce and slow the signs of aging, minimize pore size, heal the look of acne, and greatly improve skin elasticity, texture, and tone, our laboratory tested ingredients produce transformative results. Our products are customized to three unique skin types.
What kind of wax do you use?
We ONLY use hard wax because it hardens on the skin and creates its own strip, which you can remove easily without any adhesion to the skin. Hard wax is also known as strip-less or no-strip wax. It is more comfortable than using strip wax/soft wax because they adhere more readily to the skin. It is less abrasive on sensitive areas such as face, underarms and intimate locations.
