A Spectra Carbon Peel treatment aka “The Hollywood Peel” is comfortable and gentle. There is no-downtime and it is well known for being a quick skin refresher without the recovery time that follows most laser resurfacing treatments. This facial is great for rejuvenation and revitalizing the appearance of aging, damaged skin and is safe for all skin types. A Spectra Carbon Peel both targets pigmentation in the cells and heats up the layer of skin which produces new collagen as it repairs. That carefully controlled process is the key to tightening the skin and reducing wrinkles and acne scars.

A thin layer of carbon lotion is applied to your skin and we let it absorb into the skin for 15 minutes before the treatment begins. This lotion makes it look like you are wearing a charcoal/mud mask. Then the laser technician begins the treatment, making several passes over the treatment area. The laser energy breaks down the lotion and removes the top layer of dead skin. A slight warm, tingling sensation is common as the skin’s second layer (the dermis) heats up. The skin begins contracting and the laser triggers the collagen-building process.
